Long time since our last news update, I know, but in our defense not much has been happening to report on. Schooling, work, people relocating and general craziness have put Carpe Aevum on a roughly 2-year hiatus. But that hopefully begins to change today. We are currently working with a promotional agency called New Music Label (www.NewMusicLabel.com). They seem to be doing some great work with up-and-coming artists, so if you are interested give them a looksie. Keep a lookout for new band art (already in the works) music (mostly finished with some rough cuts) merchandise (somebody please threaten us to make this part true for once) and shows (TBA). Thanks again everyone, it's great to be back.

Carpe Aevum has a new page up on ALTSounds.com, a music hosting site for alternative music that also features a streaming radio station. You can find the link to our ALTSounds page in the Empire section. Three songs are available for download as well as a section to rank the band. Your support, as always, is greatly appreciated.

New Merchandise is in the works. Thanks to everyone who has bought a t-shirt, bumper sticker, or even a thong...especially those who bought the thongs. We are in the process of scanning pictures of those who have been modeling our gear, so you can see our clothing in action...especially the thongs!
In personal news, drummer Rich Giorgi has recently been named to the promotions department of three Connecticut radio stations. This continues the trend of Carpe Aevum band members working the airwaves; Steve Sklar is the Metal Director of KWUR 90.3 in St. Louis, G.L. Schaefer hosts "Arockalypse" Thursdays from 4-5 pm, also on KWUR, and Sebastian Cruz has done DJ and administrative work for WRHO 89.7 in Oneonta. Carpe Aevum has joined the Bodog Battle of the Bands. Though the competition season doesn't begin again until 2007, participation is determined by fan vote. You can find our page by clicking the linc in The Empire section. In addition, shows for the winter are currently in the work; dates to be announced as they are booked.

We have recently received news that Carpe Aevum has received its first radio play in Kiev, Ukraine. The local station that has just started is working on a website with streaming audio, and as soon as it's up, you'll know.

Well, it's been a while but Carpe Aevum has returned for the Summer of 2006. We recently returned from our first show in New Jersey at the Bloomfield Ave. Cafe & Stage in Montclair. The response we got from the crowd was fantastic, and performances by KID, Nathan Asher and the Infantry, Within Eternity, and Instant Feedback all made the night enjoyable. Live audio tracks and video, yes VIDEO, of the show will be on the site soon, and pics are already up.
